Additional Aligners, Please!

Hi guys! How's everyone doing?

I finally had a consultation with my Invisalign dentist Thursday night after work. It was actually short and we spent more time catching up, which made it more enjoyable.

After she assessed my teeth and Invisalign treatment's progress, she determined that I need Additional Aligners to further straighten my teeth in more detail. Again, it's an option to order a new set of aligners typically during the final few stages of treatment if further tooth movement is needed in order to meet the original treatment goals in more accurate detail. For Invisalign® Full (like mine) and Invisalign® Teen, refinements are already included in the price paid for. For any Additional Aligners, new photos are required and new impression(s) or intra-oral scan(s) are optional but recommended if the last aligner does not fully adapt to the teeth. Thank goodness my last aligner set fits my teeth perfectly. The Invisalign program creates my Additional Aligner set based on my last one (that I've still been using). Isn't that awesome?

I'll update you all about my new aligner set in the next 3 weeks. In the meantime, let me share a few more recent photos of mine to show how I undoubtedly have a better smile now and am very happy with my Invisalign treatment. Am actually also flattered to hear my friends saying that am more handsome now. I can't thank you enough, Team Invisalign! Haha!

Refinements / Vivera Retainers? Here I Come!

Hey everyone! How are you all doing?

It's been a year since I began my Invisalign Journey and as have been saying, very happy with the results. Don't you agree?

I am still wearing my last set of aligners and although have been in contact with my Invisalign dentist, have not been able to see her yet again. She did advise me though that as soon as will be able to assess my treatment's progress, will determine if I need refinements or can already maintain my currently straightened teeth with Invisalign's own retainers Vivera.

The Vivera retainers are 30% harder than the regular Invisalign aligners. If you've already straightened your teeth with traditional metal braces and are currently maintaining your progress with metal retainers, can opt for Invisalign's Vivera retainers instead. Wouldn't you want to get rid of those wires already? Maintaining straight teeth with Vivera retainers is definitely the best way to go, so I know that am in great hands whether will have refinements to further straighten my teeth in more detail or maintain my already straight teeth with Viveras.

By the way, have you already taken advantage of the current DeBond Promo? If not yet, avail of the 25% discount already when you switch to Invisalign before their offer ends!

My Christmas Dream Come True With A Confident Smile!

Hi guys! I'm very happy with my straight teeth and this is really a dream come true for me after starting my Invisalign Journey in November last year.

I am still on my last set of aligners since have been very busy with work and not been able to see my Invisalign dentist again. Like I said in my previous blog entry, need to have some cleaning done and most importantly, she needs to check on my treatment's final outcome if it's according to the correct standards. I will also know if need to to undergo refinement. Thank goodness that even despite not being able to see my Invisalign doctor yet again, I can continue using my last set of aligners to maintain my straight teeth. Let me give you all more updates in the next 2 weeks after seeing my Invisalign provider.

Have you also been dreaming of having straight teeth and being able to smile more? Especially for those of you who are currently in pain with traditional metal braces, you can save 25% when you switch to Invisalign! This promo's only for a limited time period, so book your Invisalign consultation with a doctor provider already: www.invisalign.ph/find-a-doctor

My Early Christmas: Now On My Last Aligner Set!

Hi everyone! Christmas came early for me this year and I'm now on my last set of aligners!

I am very happy with my Invisalign treatment and need to see my dentist provider real soon!

I still have not seen my Invisalign dentist again but been in touch with her recently by email and mobile. On my upcoming consultation with her, I need to have some cleaning done. Most importantly, she needs to assess the final outcome of my Invisalign treatment and if it is according to the correct standards. I should also find out if will need to undergo refinement.

Refinement is an option to order additional aligners typically during the final few stages of treatment if further tooth movement is needed in order to meet the original treatment goals in more accurate detail. For Invisalign® Full (like mine) and Invisalign® Teen, refinements are already included in the price paid for. For any refinements, new photos are required and new impression(s) or intra-oral scan(s) are optional but recommended if the last aligner does not fully adapt to the teeth. Thank goodness my last aligner set fits my teeth perfectly as seen in my photo above, so if I'll do need refinement, must only have new photos taken, then the Invisalign program can just create my refinement aligner set based on my last one.

As always, I will update you all in 2 weeks time after am done with this final set!
So exciting!

Oh, before I forget, one more thing to get really excited about as well is the current De-Bond Promo that's been back and even better! For those of you currently in pain with those traditional metal braces, you can get a 25% discount if you switch to Invisalign! Isn't that great? All you need to do is...
1. Get an Invisalign Consultation from a doctor provider near you www.invisalign.ph/find-a-doctor and 2. Confirm your Invisalign Treatment.

Now On My 2nd To The Last Set of Aligners!

Hi guys! I'm now on my 2nd to the last set of aligners and so excited to be literally at the end of my Invisalign treatment!

Here are some of my recent photos, including my latest before and after pictures to show how my smile progress has been going with Invisalign...

@ Bonifacio High Street

Goofing around - I actually lost my blue storage case for my aligners. I don't want to be so sentimental about it as it may be more useful for someone else. ‪#‎i‬ am not my stuff. We are more than our possessions - I can use my red Invisalign case which is originally for the old/used set of aligners.

I am really happy that many of my friends, colleagues, and family notice how straight my teeth are now. Do you notice the big difference, too? Some of my colleagues even notice how I take more (group) selfies. Lol! I have definitely been more confident in photos with my big smile.

I have to admit that I haven't seen my Invisalign dentist in a long time, but thank goodness that this treatment doesn't need consultations often, especially since am still very busy with work, going around our different offices in the country. I really need to see my Invisalign dentist real soon, though since am almost done with my treatment, so she can comprehensively assess my progress. As usual, I'll keep you all posted again in the next 2 weeks when on my last set of aligners! How time flies indeed!

Do you want to know more about Invisalign? Don't hesitate to ask! Also, get expert answers from Invisalign PH dentist Dr. K. Garcia during the monthly Invisalign PH Facebook Q&A this Thursday, September 24! Ask your Invisalign questions on the Invisalign PH Facebook page on Thursday. Dr. K. Garcia will be more than happy to answer them afterwards. www.invisalign.ph/patient-sign-up

Less Than 2 Months To Go!

Hey everyone! I'm finally able to blog again about my Invisalign journey since I was extremely busy with work, going around the country at our different offices.

As promised, here are a couple of pictures that were recently taken that show off my straighter teeth and smile progress with Invisalign...

Fun Movie Night with Colleagues

I'm Harry Potter Mapangpanggap! Lol!

Fun with Colleagues at our Ortigas Office

Since I have completed most of my trays, I have been wearing my aligner set 22/25. I only take out my Invisalign aligners when I brush my teeth, eat, and drink liquids other than cold/normal water. My Invisalign treatment has truly been working out great! I love being able to smile without being self conscious. Out of habit, I sometimes do still think twice when am about to laugh in a group or smile at someone, then remember I don't have to worry about my teeth anymore unlike before and smile even wider! Don't you notice in my latest photos above and that my teeth are even straighter than before?

I am really happy with my Invisalign treatment's progress and highly recommend this to anyone deciding to use this fantastic treatment, too! www.invisalign.ph/patient-sign-up - I shall update you all again in the next 2 weeks when I'll be on set 23/25 to show how my progress is going.

Any questions about Invisalign? Just ask away!

More Than 3 Months To Go!

Hi guys!

More than 3 months to go before my Invisalign treatment's complete! I can't wait for the day until my treatment's done!

I've noticed that I don't have any stains on my teeth. I'm not saying that my teeth are sparkly white, but I drink tea and coffee. Using Invisalign has definitely improved my oral health with regular cleaning. I'm really happy with my Invisalign journey!
Here are some before and after comparison photos for you to see...

Shown above are my Invisalign results within 8 1/2 months and 17 trays of treatment. My fabulous Invisalign dentist always listens to my concerns and addresses them! I am truly a happy man and Invisalign patient!

Do you also notice how much whiter my teeth are now? I think that is purely from changing my brushing habits from twice a day to brushing after every meal, snack, and drink/s.

I will update you all again in the next 2 weeks with some more photos once I change to set 19/25 to show how my progress is going.

Thank you for reading and following me on this amazing Invisalign journey to straight and healthier teeth!

My Tray 17/25 Update

Hey guys!

As I move on to another set of aligners, the routine doesn't change and it's all very much the same. I rarely see my Invisalign dentist and mostly take charge of carrying on with the treatment. It's nice and simple.

Invisalign never gets in the way of my travels for work.

The exciting news is that I am more than half way through my treatment! I say finally like it has taken forever but it has actually just flown by quite fast. Either way, I am still so happy that it will only take about 4 months more until my Invisalign treatment's done.

My current aligner set 17 is tight which proves that they're all working as they should.
It's interesting how at the beginning of my treatment, the end results and tray 25/25 seemed so far off. I was so aware and conscious of speaking while wearing them, but once I got used to using Invisalign after a couple of weeks, I honestly forget about it sometimes and have stopped thinking about them so much. That's why I can't complain since Invisalign has become normal to me and can honestly say that I have enjoyed this treatment.

Who would have thought that about "invisible braces"?! Invisalign is DIFFERENT and I am so blessed to have made the clear choice. I am so grateful and pleased with the whole Invisalign process.

I remember that about 10 years ago, I consulted a dentist for veneers. Luckily, it was far too expensive and I never pursued them, which I am now very happy about. I wanted a "quick fix" and didn't know of any other way other than the big metal braces. Once you have veneers, though, they shave down your real teeth to almost nothing. I am now sitting here with my real teeth, more aligned than before, how I want them to be, without causing any damage to my real teeth and without worrying about a veneer popping off. Not to mention the expense of having them fixed. I wish the dentist I consulted at that time told me about Invisalign as I would have straightened my teeth with these invisible aligners a long time ago, but I suppose am actually very lucky to be here now with straighter teeth!

5-10 years ago, Invisalign wasn't as well known as it is now here in the Philippines. I hope that more Philippine dentists and orthodontists recommend Invisalign to people like me, whose teeth are healthy, CAN be straightened conveniently and in a non-invasive way. The latest innovations with Align Technology's investments in orthodontic Research & Technology continue to improve Invisalign even for severe cases.

I hope my blog has helped anyone out there thinking of their options with improving their teeth and smile. I will update again about 2 weeks with my Invisalign treatment progress, including some before and after photos!

Invisalign Tray 16 Update

Hi everyone!

It's about time I updated my blog with my Invisalign progress. I am now on aligner set 16 of 25, so more than half way through my treatment. In my opinion, I could not be more impressed with this treatment! Time is flying and I am more excited than ever before about how close I am to the final stages of treatment and results. Since my last blog on tray 15, each week has just been easy. I make notes in my calender so I know when to change my aligners. I feel so confident with them. No problems at all with putting them on and I only expect tightness for the first few days after a new set of aligners. I'm actually enjoying this Invisalign treatment, showing off my before and after pictures to my friends, family, colleagues, plus on social media. People are surprised to see the difference from my crooked teeth before and I can't help but beam with pride!

I am not a perfect patient, though. I have forgotten a few times after lunch to put my Invisalign aligners back on for a few hours when I was really busy. As an Invisalign patient, one has to really make a conscious effort to remember in order not to fall behind the recommended use of at least 20 hrs. a day. Nonetheless, this hasn't caused any problems for me. I was worried when changing to the next aligners, that they may not fit, but it was totally fine. Thank goodness!

I have attached some recent pictures of myself in my current stage, so they may help anyone who is concerned or worried as to how they may look. I was a bit concerned myself before starting treatment. Someone would have to be looking really closely to notice the aligners and even if they did, they would have no idea what they are since they are so discreet. They are transparent. Looking back, I wonder what I was worried about.

Just like the way I am enjoying this best fruit shake on the island of Boracay. I love Invisalign because it's removable, invisible, without discomfort from wires and without diet restrictions!

So far, my Invisalign treatment has been a breeze for me. Yes, it does feel tender during day 1 with a new set of aligners, but I like that kind of pain since it means that my teeth are moving. That's fine by me! :D

My teeth are now whiter than before, too. My oral hygiene has never been very bad (brushing twice and rarely ever floss), but it has never been particularly good either. Ever since I started with my Invisalign treatment, I feel icky if I don't brush after every meal, so I can wear my aligners again. I've been brushing and flossing for at least 3 times a day. How can I not have super clean and sparkling teeth then?!

I am looking forward to seeing my Invisalign dentist the soonest and progressing further with this treatment! Will update again soon.

Thanks for reading!

More than 5 Months with Invisalign and Seeing Further Progress!

Today, I just wanted to point out that after speaking with other people who had regular metal braces before and hearing of their painful, unpleasant experiences, they were shocked to know that the Invisalign treatment I am having is COMPLETELY painless. There is no tightening of wires which they experienced nor hard pressures on the teeth. Everything with Invisalign is pain-free, convenient, yet effective and fast. I feel in control of the treatment since I need to ensure that I use the Invisalign aligners consistently. Compliance is key.

For me, the most difficult part of the Invisalign treatment was the first set of trays or aligners and those first 2 weeks. Looking back now, I wonder what I was uncomfortable about! With anything new, adjustments in time are made in order to feel more comfortable. After adjusting to speaking with the aligners, I've been feeling more confident and comfortable with them. Using them now is just like second nature to me and I don't worry about them anymore. I even forget that I'm wearing them most of the time and enjoy knowing that everyday I am a step closer to having the perfect smile.

I am definitely looking forward to these next 4 weeks of treatment and seeing further progress!

5 Months of Invisalign Treatment and Improvements Are Noticeable!

I am now 5 months into my Invisalign treatment and time flies indeed!

Now the aligners just feel so natural to me. That 1st week was pretty difficult for me to get used to the feeling of the aligners and removing them were particularly uncomfortable. Currently, I actually enjoy the feeling of the new set of aligners since the tightness during the 1st few days of use lets me know they're doing their job. I just make sure to wear the new trays at night before bed. That way, I don't have to worry about taking them off after a few hrs. I have been in a routine of brushing my teeth and aligners 1st thing in the morning, after eating, and at night. It only takes seconds to remove them and put them back on! I don't need to look in a mirror or fiddle around with them anymore since they're just so easy to use.

The other great news is that my teeth are already noticeably more aligned, compared to before! They are almost completely straightened out! I honestly cannot believe how quickly these changes have been happening, especially since my treatment is still in the beginning stages, but I absolutely LOVE it! I have been smiling more confidently, while many of my colleagues, closest friends, and family have mentioned to me that they have been noticing the changes already with my teeth... AMAZING!

Part of the reason for such quick results has to do with my Invisalign dentist who really worked on my treatment plan and continues to help me monitor my treatment's progress, even by mobile.

I am also re-posting here below 1 of my photos from when I started using Invisalign, so you can compare with my latest photo and see the progress for yourself. My Invisalign treatment's really great and I could not be more happier.

I'll continue to share my treatment updates with you all in the next 2 weeks and make sure to respond to any comments or questions you may have. So far, I really hope my blog has been of some help to anyone seeking information about Invisalign. To know more about it, you may also get more information from the Invisalign PH Team: www.invisalign.ph/patient-sign-up

My Invisalign Treatment Continues

Hi! How's everyone doing in this Philippine summer heat?

I am now wearing a new set of aligners and am currently more than 4 months into my treatment. I am very happy that my teeth movements are slowly, but surely taking place!

To give you my honest opinion, I found that the 1st few days of treatment were quite hard, trying to get used to the feel of the aligners in my mouth and adjusting to how I spoke while wearing them. I had a lisp for the first few days and removing the aligners was a little uncomfortable. After some time, the aligners slid on and off easily without the need for a mirror or any pressure at all. I honestly forget that I'm wearing them sometimes! I am so pleased and the treatment has been much easier.

I was really surprised that many people, colleagues, friends, and family, did not notice them at all unless I asked them to see if they notice that I was wearing Invisalign! Even when I did, some people assumed that I was wearing lingual braces (behind the teeth).

I will be transitioning to another set of aligners in the next 2 weeks. Every time I change to a new set of aligners, I always expect the tightness and difficultly of getting them off for the 1st few days. I have been totally used to wearing the aligners.

Expect more updates from me very soon and feel free to ask questions. My blog's just about to reach 1000 views.  Please keep sharing this blog so more Filipinos can learn about Invisalign. Thanks to everyone for all your help!

Any plans for the upcoming Labor Day Weekend, aside from rooting for our very own Pacquiao? Have a good one and bye for now!

My Summer Photos

Hey everyone! How's your summer so far?

Holy week in my hometown of Samal Island, Davao was fantastic with my best friends - we had such a good time. I have bigger smiles now that my teeth are being straightened with Invisalign! It's been four months into my treatment - have you noticed that I have a more relaxed smile, without worrying in photos. I have been able to take lots of cheesy pictures and will take more during my Invisalign treatment!

Can I be in the next Invisalign summer social media ad? Lol!

My Invisalign dentist noted improvements in my maloclussion during my last consultation with her. Here's a photo of me below having coffee with her at a lovely cafe in Makati. With my busy schedule, I am unable to see my Invisalign doctor often for consultations, but with Invisalign it is not a problem. Invisalign consultations can be done every 2 months. I am in contact with my Invisalign dentist by email and mobile anyway, so I keep her updated with my compliance and diligent use of the aligners to ensure proper treatment.

I always remember to pop out my aligners before drinking liquids other than water (not including hot water), too, so as not to stain them.

Again, with Invisalign, there are no diet restrictions, so I can eat whatever i want!

Pinakbet pizza only in Paoay!

The last 2 photos above were just taken last week in Laoag, Ilocos when I was there for work with colleagues. Invisalign truly doesn't get in the way of my career and travels.

As I write this 3rd blog entry of mine, I notice that have already had more than 600 views here. On my 4th blog entry in the next 2 weeks, I hope to have 1000 views, so keep sharing my blog (entry/ies) and feel free to ask me any questions about Invisalign (treatment). I am more than happy to share my InvisaLife experience here in the Philippines.

Salamat and have a good week!

My ClinCheck 3D Treatment Plan Video and More!

Hi guys! How's everyone doing? Thanks to all of you for taking interest in my Invisalign journey and I'm happy to share my race to straight teeth.

Remember that I mentioned in my 1st blog entry Invisalign's ClinCheck 3D Treatment Plan Program? Let me show you my ClinCheck Video:

As you can see, this video shows the stages of my treatment in fast-forward. It's amazing how Invisalign can do this, right? It makes a difference knowing what the end result will be and I think they look great, don't you agree? This shows that almost anything is possible with an Invisalign Doctor Provider.

When I started my Invisalign treatment in November, I had to adjust only for a few days, but since then have already gotten used to it. I use my Invisalign aligners most of the day and while sleeping, only taking them out when I eat, drink liquids other than (cold) water, and during large public-speaking engagements. The Invisalign blue plastic storage case is very handy, portable, and keeps the aligners safe in my "messenger" bag. My Invisalign aligners are customized for me - they fit perfectly and are comfortable. They're very easy to clean with (running) water and some toothpaste. Since the 1st month of using Invisalign in December, I've already felt it working to straighten my teeth, and noticed gradual improvements while changing my set of aligners every 2 weeks. Do you agree that I am on my way to having a perfect smile?

1st 2 weeks of Invisalign treatment

Chinese New Year (a few months on my Invisalign treatment)

The red case above is for my old/used set of aligners when changing to the new ones. The white thing is a chewie which helps attach my aligners in place when I put them on. I bite on the soft cylindrical chewie to make sure that the aligners fit my teeth well.

I travel a lot for work, leisure, and regularly return to my hometown of Davao. Despite a lot of things going on in my life, Invisalign doesn't get in the way and it gradually straightens my teeth without most people even noticing that I have them on. Most of all, I can eat whatever I want! : ) Invisalign is life changing - from my daily routine to the way I interact with people. I am now more conscious with my oral health, my disposition changed the way I see things, knowing that I can confidently smile without any hesitation. There is definitely more to it than just a set of aligners.

By the way, I learned that Invisalign PH has a Debonding Promo this March, so I highly recommend those of you in metal braces to switch to Invisalign now to avail of up to 20% discount! Here's their Facebook ad post for more details and updated website page www.invisalign.ph/find-a-doctor:

If anyone following my progress has any questions at all, please feel free to ask, as I am more than happy to reply. Bye for now and I'll keep you posted on my progress in the next two weeks!

Rainier's Invisalign Blog - My Race to Straight Teeth!

Hey guys! Can you see that I'm wearing Invisalign?!

As some of you might know already, I finally decided to get Invisalign to help straighten my teeth last November! This blog is all about my process, Invisalign treatment, why I wanted to get them, the procedure, and how I continue to enjoy my life here in the Philippines with Invisalign.

I am very excited to be starting this blog to write down my experiences, thoughts, and results of my Invisalign treatment!!

I was fortunate enough to learn about Invisalign from a dear friend two years ago. I saved up, planned for it, and here I am!

I have always been very self conscious about my teeth. They are uneven and not very attractive. I am a natural comic but I hate how much I would worry before about how my teeth look when having my photo taken or conversing up-close. I should have had braces when I was younger but didn't since I was traumatized with dentists when I was a child in Davao and big metal braces in my mid-30's is not something that appeals to me now. To have Invisalign is like a dream come true for me! Invisalign is almost invisible and suits my lifestyle more than any other dental brace treatment options. I couldn't wait to get started!

It was great to talk to the Invisalign PH Team who helped me start my Invisalign race to straighter teeth! The whole team at Invisalign PH are so nice and I feel very blessed to be having my Invisalign treatment.

To tell you about my treatment so far, my Invisalign doctor provider near my home in Pasig talked me through the whole dental treatment process of Invisalign, what I should expect and how long my treatment should take. She also had my teeth's rubber impressions, X-rays, and a series of photos taken--diagnostic requirements for an Invisalign treatment. Afterwhich, my impressions were sent off to the US for scanning!

After 2 weeks, I went back to my dentist to see my ClinCheck results which let me see a virtual 3D review of my Invisalign treatment process, which can also determine the goals for each treatment stage. This is on a computer and it demonstrates the series of movements that the teeth will go through as the treatment progresses, from the current teeth position to the final desired position, reviewing each stage and showing the final expected results of how my teeth will look like at the end. Only Invisalign has this ClinCheck Program. After reviewing my Invisalign treatment plan and we were both happy about it, my doctor approved it to have my customized aligners manufactured!

Oh, I have to go now. I will write another blog as soon as I get some free time to let you know how it was when my Invisalign box arrived and how I felt when my treatment started!
