It's about time I updated my blog with my Invisalign progress. I am now on aligner set 16 of 25, so more than half way through my treatment. In my opinion, I could not be more impressed with this treatment! Time is flying and I am more excited than ever before about how close I am to the final stages of treatment and results. Since my last blog on tray 15, each week has just been easy. I make notes in my calender so I know when to change my aligners. I feel so confident with them. No problems at all with putting them on and I only expect tightness for the first few days after a new set of aligners. I'm actually enjoying this Invisalign treatment, showing off my before and after pictures to my friends, family, colleagues, plus on social media. People are surprised to see the difference from my crooked teeth before and I can't help but beam with pride!
I am not a perfect patient, though. I have forgotten a few times after lunch to put my Invisalign aligners back on for a few hours when I was really busy. As an Invisalign patient, one has to really make a conscious effort to remember in order not to fall behind the recommended use of at least 20 hrs. a day. Nonetheless, this hasn't caused any problems for me. I was worried when changing to the next aligners, that they may not fit, but it was totally fine. Thank goodness!
I have attached some recent pictures of myself in my current stage, so they may help anyone who is concerned or worried as to how they may look. I was a bit concerned myself before starting treatment. Someone would have to be looking really closely to notice the aligners and even if they did, they would have no idea what they are since they are so discreet. They are transparent. Looking back, I wonder what I was worried about.
Just like the way I am enjoying this best fruit shake on the island of Boracay. I love Invisalign because it's removable, invisible, without discomfort from wires and without diet restrictions! |
So far, my Invisalign treatment has been a breeze for me. Yes, it does feel tender during day 1 with a new set of aligners, but I like that kind of pain since it means that my teeth are moving. That's fine by me! :D
My teeth are now whiter than before, too. My oral hygiene has never been very bad (brushing twice and rarely ever floss), but it has never been particularly good either. Ever since I started with my Invisalign treatment, I feel icky if I don't brush after every meal, so I can wear my aligners again. I've been brushing and flossing for at least 3 times a day. How can I not have super clean and sparkling teeth then?!
I am looking forward to seeing my Invisalign dentist the soonest and progressing further with this treatment! Will update again soon.
